Car Wash

Really can't decide on this one. I think I like the head cut off because it doesnt matter who this guy is (Jeremy B is the subject), and I would rather see the thick shorts wasteband in the shot because it makes the guy look like a boxer somehow, a real champion, which is what he is. Gas station for context? The next shot I have is without the gas station, just him and his face and the sky, but I think I like this one better.

And then also I don't generally like shots of somebody else's art.

It's the first shoot that ever brought me to tears. These kids were having a fundraiser for their friend who had died three days prior. And I was taking pictures of it. Pictures. That's right, as if photography could do anything to help.

To many the fact that you were there to pay attention to their actions, even if it is through photography, is more than great . . . so don't write it off so quickly

I agree with Deanna. Being there to photograph the event shined a light on the importance of the issue : )

Thanks, guys, I think that's what I wanted to hear. Is it a good photograph though? I took newsier ones, kids making really sad signs, etc - but I like the feel of this one the best.

I like the headless "any man" shot...The writing on his chest and stomach says it all...

Nice work.
